Over the holiday break, a group of Cook Street players came together to represent the club at the Bring It Indoors tournament, hosted by Bays United. Competing in the Men’s Open division, the Cook Street entry was a combined squad featuring players from Albion, Soul, and United, highlighting the strength and unity across the club.
The squad included Paulo Alanes, Kellen Arnink, and Musashi Sakamoto from Soul; Jonattan Mendoza from Albion; and Noah Naccarato, Kieren Ericksen, and Theo Weismiller from United. While these players represent different Cook Street teams during the regular season, the close bonds and shared culture within the club allowed them to come together seamlessly.
Due to a scheduling misunderstanding, fixtures involving Saanich Fusion did not take place. Cook Street instead faced teams from Bays United and Peninsula FC in the completed matches.
Cook Street delivered a strong and consistent set of performances, finishing unbeaten and top of the Men’s Open table. Results included a 7–3 win over Bays United, a 6–3 victory against Peninsula FC, a 4–1 win in the return fixture with Bays United, and a 2–2 draw with Peninsula FC. Across the tournament, Cook Street scored 19 goals, finishing with the best goal difference in the division.
Beyond the results, the tournament was a clear example of one of Cook Street United’s strengths: bringing players together across teams and having them compete confidently under a shared identity. A well-earned finish at the top of the table and a positive way to close out the year on the pitch.
