The Peacocks enter two teams into Canada’s biggest 7-a-side league

The Power 7s league hosted by Saanich Fusion is the largest in Canada, taking place throughout the Summer in Greater Victoria. Games take place at the recently redeveloped Tyndall turf, as well as the picturesque artificial field at Lochside.

Cook Street have registered two teams to participate. The Cook Street Peacocks will be returning to compete in the highest division of the competitive bracket – the Men’s Premier League – to battle against teams formed by large island clubs like JDF (All-Flows) and Saanich Fusion (GBE).

In the Men’s Recreational divisions, Cook Street will be competing as AC Me Rollin’, in the Platinum division, which is the 2nd tier of 5 in total. Also playing in Platinum this year are Surreal Madrid, a team formed by Fernwood United – who Cook Street Soul beat 2-0 in the regular VISL season last November.

Fixtures can be found on the Power 7s website for those looking to cheer on the boys while we wait for a new season of 11-a-side to begin.
